DVD3: New Frame II: New Frame II of Chen Style Tai Chi is also known as Cannon Hammer. It is in contrast to New Frame I. It involves pick, separate, elbow and stick as its main movements and crack, stroke, squeeze and press as its auxiliary movemnts with hardness dwelling in softness. The whole play is forceful and explosive. You stamp your feet to apply force and you dodge and turn, rush and jump quickly and naturally. The player is like a fierce tiger jumping down from a hill; a dragon jumping out from the sea and powerful lion shaking its hair. Exercise requirements: the body leading the hands, agile footwork, stable position, harmonious force, high-spirited, inflexible and fierce attack.

More about Chen ZhangLei Master Chen ZhangLei is the 19th Generation disciple and 11th generation family disciple of Chen Style Tai Chi and one of China's contemporary Top Ten WuShu masters. He was born in ChenJiaGou Village in Wenxian County, Henan Province, where TaiChi is said to have been created. He is now the president of Wenxian county Chen Style Tai Chi Reasearn Institute, a WuShu coach at Henan Wushu Center, and schoolmaster of ChenJiagou Tai Chi Quan Schoo. Master Chen was a deputy to the 17th National People's Congress. He began to learn TaiChi Quan from his uncle in 1958 and gradually mastered all the set routines, practice methods, and theories of Chen Style Tai Chi Quan. From 1974 to 1987, he won mor than then Excellent Prizes (gold medals) for Tai Chi Quan, Tai Chi Straight Sword and Tai Chi Push Hands at provincial WuShu competitions. Master Chen won two championships at national TaiChi Quan competitions. He enjoys a great reputation in the WuShu community with more than ten thousand students around the world, in 1994 he awarded and recognized as an International TaiChi Quan Master. He has written many books on WuShu such as On Ten Exercises, A Complete Collection of Chen-Style TaiChi Quan and its Weapons, Chen Style TaiChi QiGong for Health, and Chen Style Tai Chi. Master Chen is listed in the Dictionary of contemporary Famous Chinese Educators and the Dictionary of Contemporary Famous Chinese Martial Artist.
