Yang Style was the first Tai Chi Style to be become well-known around the world and is still one of the most popular styles. Its popularity is all due to its completeness of the entire routine and system. Funei Tai Chi was created by Yang LuChan after he entered the Forbidden City and taught Kung Fu to the Emperor, and emperor families and officials. He was once honored as "No Match" Yang for nobody chould knock him down. We can also say that this style is the product of Yang Luchan's folk martial arts combined with Imperial culture.

One of the major disciples of Yang-Style Tai Quan comes from Yongnian County, Hebei Province. Yang ZhengDuo began to learn Yang-Style Tai Chi Quan, TaiChi Sword, and Push Hands from his father at a very early age. For many years he has devoted himself to the promotion of Yang-Style Tai Chi Quan. In 1982, he was appointed president of Shanxi Yang Style Tai Chi Assoication. In 1983, he won the title of "TaiChi Quan Master" at the Shanghai Exhibition match. The same year he was invited to perform demonstrations at the Nanjing Internation Wushu Invitational Tournament. Master Yang was invited as special deputy to attend the 6th National Games in 1983. In 1985, he traveled to Singapore to take part in the 2nd TaiChi Quan Performance Competition and was afterwards invited to stay in Singapore as WuShu coach. Since 1986, he has visited France 3 times and taught students from 17 countries. He is now a committee member with the Chinese WuShu Association and Shanxi WuShu Assoication. He has written a book entitled "The Techniques of Yang Sytle Tai Chi"
